Finding Affordable Birth Control

Birth control is often an important part of a woman's life during her child bearing years, but it may not be covered by insurance.  Where can you find birth control medicine that's affordable?

One place is Planned Parenthood clinics.  The amount of help they may give may depend on their own funding, but they are a good place to start, as they have over 500 local clinics in the U.S., with access to birth control devices, medication, and advice.  The link above will help you find the nearest clinic.  Also, the U.S. Office of Population Affairs has a link that can direct you to all the nearest family planning clinics in the country.  Or you can call 866-640-7827  Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (Eastern) to find a clinic.

Finally, the Reproductive Health Access Project has a website with pharmacies that feature low-cost birth control pills.  Getting your prescription filled at these places may help with the cost as well.
