We've covered several possible sources of unclaimed funds, but another is credit unions. If you had money in a federally insured credit union that went belly up, you may have money coming to you. Check out the National Credit Union Administration website. It describes the regulations on find distribution for failing credit unions, and has an attachment with the names of credit union members with unclaimed funds.
