More Money for Basement Flood Prevention

Access to more money to prevent basement flooding is not the most exciting thing in the world--unless you are a Toledoan who has had the weight of the Toledo sewage system back up into your basement.

If you have, be heartened that city council has just approved another $300,000 for city property owners who need measures to control sewage flow and prevent it from becoming part of their basement. It's not for people with flooding from other sources, however. The money is administered through the Public Utility Department's Division of Engineering Services.
